the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI)
and the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco,
this show will showcase the elegance of Philippine Tropical Fabrics
reimagined through fashion, innovation, and tradition.

Florante Aguilar is a Filipino guitarist, composer, and recording artist known for his dedication to traditional Filipino music. He specializes in blending classical guitar techniques with folk and indigenous melodies, creating expressive arrangements and original works. His composition style seeks to define a contemporary Filipino sound rooted in tradition, bridging the past and present for a global audience.
Raised in Subic, Zambales, Philippines, Charmaine Clamor is the first Filipina-American to make the Top-5 in the U.S. jazz and world music radio charts. Known as the “Queen of Jazzipino,” Charmaine has given concerts on five continents, including a command performance at Malacanang Palace for the late President Benigno Aquino, Jr. She is also a physical therapist, part-time faculty at CSUN, and owns her own wellness practice, Be Well Therapy, in Los Angeles.
Greg Kehret is a bassist and graduate of the San Francisco State University School of Music, where he earned a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Classical Performance. His wide-ranging musical interests have led him to explore genres including R&B, hip hop, funk, jazz, Latin jazz, dream pop, tango, Romani music, and flamenco. He has recently collaborated with Florante Aguilar on The Harana Kings, ASWANG, and Gumamela.

We aim to serve as a bridge,inspiring and connecting Filipinos in diaspora to their roots to give them a sense of pride and identity, while educating diverse communities to foster awareness and appreciation of Philippine culture.
